The Brain Likes What it Likes

Do you find yourself drawn to fabric just because? How about a pattern only because you like the photo on the cover?
Today I learned that the brain likes what it likes. Without even noticing we all fall victim to it’s whims.

I’ve been diligently working on my stash/UFO busting mission. In January I stitched up Phoebe’s Flower Box by Missouri Star Quilt Company using a jelly roll I grabbed at a fall quilt show.

Here’s where it gets weird. Today I pulled out a UFO that’s over a year old.… Do you recognize this fabric? Yup. It’s the same fabric line as the jelly roll I grabbed. ROFL. I’ve been sucked in by the pretty colors without even knowing it.

A few more UFO finishes….A name was added to bottom of this shark quilt and it’s ready to swim off to a new home.

This one has been waiting in the UFO pile for YEARS! Now it’s off to snuggle with a little princess.

All together 7 quilts are off to adoptive homes to be loved, snuggled, and worn out.

Good for you continuing with the UFO busting! I love that you re-bought the same fabric without knowing it. I have done that with patterns:(
