Isn’t that a wonderful combination?

How do you use your SEWING SUPER POWERS?

More Information Please

Island Batik has joined with The Quilt Pattern Magazine, Aurifil Threads, QuiltyBox, Benartex and Hancock’s of Paducah to create the Piece for Shelter Pets initiative. This initiative supports the Petfinder Foundation which works to end euthanasia of adoptable pets through financial contributions made possible by the sale of quilting related products.

The TQPM Small Kennel Quilt Team is a volunteer organization sponsored by The Quilt Pattern Magazine that sews small kennel quilts to help animals when disasters strike.
You can learn more HERE.

Of course no matter what charity you decide to use your sewing super powers for be sure to read their guidelines carefully.

Perfect timing!!!
This month I was already sewing for my friend. She’s a foster mom for a local Great Dane shelter and I have 24 blankets ready to go for that too.

Such a simple thing that means so very much. Being a shelter volunteer, I am amazed at the items that are so needed and necessary. Thank you for your involvement in this endeavor.
