Do you like thunder storms, the smell of wet plants after a good rain, or the promise of things to bloom? This month the Island Batik Ambassadors were given an April Showers Challenge.
This challenge made me stop and think about my childhood and how much I enjoyed splashing through the puddles and making mud pies after a good thunder storm. Do kids even do that anymore???
Splish Splash
finished size 16” x 16”
The border is the lovely Island Batik Lavish collection and the rest was pulled from my Island Batik scrap bin. I wanted it to have a playful feel so I simply doodled around each applique with black thread.
Pattern is free to my newsletter subscribers ONLY.
MORE NEWS….
I made the cover of the new Quiltmaker’s 100 blocks magazine.
Can you guess which block is mine?
Stop back Monday for the blog tour, a give away and the answer.
