The original fabrics from this UFO are several years old and it’s been difficult to match the reds and greens. This has been the most challenging problem about finishing UFO’s. So, after visiting several quilt shops today I have a new plan. I’m adding a thin gold border, a wide green border, and binding it in red. The gold is a nice surprise to the eye and may just work. What do you think?

I like this better than what you were auditioning the other day - it is a nice warming touch and really sets off the blocks nicely.
