Chickens are getting somewhere..

I’ve been working really hard on the chicken quilt. The happy, brighter colors are fantastic.

The chickens have been plucked from the old background and  hand sewn to a new chocolate brown background. I spent all weekend sewing the feet and bodies down.

I really like the green border. I’m not sure about the checks now that they are attached though.

Too busy or not just right? What do you think?

I discovered what I liked about this quilt. The hand sewing is so calming.

I also discovered why it never got finished. Who has that kind of time?
