Here is the bag of scraps that I received….
Here is the finished quilt….
I added the black fabric to frame the little squares but I’m thinking maybe it should have been navy blue instead. Hmmm.

(36) 3 1/2 x 8 1/2 strips for border

Step 1 – Frame Small Squares
Attach the 2 x 3 1/2 strips to the sides of all the small squares.
Press neatly. Straight up and down without steam.
Attach 2 x 6 1/2 strips to the top and bottom of each small square section.
Step 2 – Make Center Rows
Sew alternating a framed block with a 6 1/2 x 6 1/2 block. Two rows will begin with a framed block and three with a plain block.
Step 3 – Complete Center Design
Sew rows together to complete the center design and set aside.
Step 4 – Create Side Borders
Sew (10) 3 1/2 x 8 1/2 strips together to make the side border. Do this twice.
Attach to the sides of the center design. Two strips equal one block so match your seams accordingly.
Step 5 – Create the Top and Bottom Border
Sew (8) 3 1/2 x 8 1/2 strips together to make the top and bottom borders. Do this twice.
Sew an 8 1/2 x 8 1/2 corner block to each end of the top/bottom border strips.
Attach to the top and bottom of the design. Two strips equal one block so match your seams accordingly.
