Are you totally motivated? Want to jump right in with a fast project?
I decided to start my year off on the “right foot” with two charity quilts. I spotted this super fast design on Pinterest and fell in love.
Here’s how I made mine…I started with a 10” square of each of my fabrics and the equal number of 10” white squares.
update: I started with 27 colored squares and 27 white squares for the quilt in the photo. Finished block size in the quilt is 9”.
Next I cut a 3 1/2” x 9 1/2” rectangle (A) off the left side of my 10” square. Then I cut the remaining fabric into a 6 1/2” x 6 1/2” square (B) and a 6 1/2” x 3 1/2” rectangle (C). Repeat those steps for all your 10” squares.
Now the fun begins. Swap the white 6 1/2” x 6 1/2” squares with the colored 6 1/2” x 6 1/2” squares. Chain Sew!!!! ZOOM ZOOM! Sew “B” to “C” then add “A”. I added my colored pieces randomly in a mix and match style.
In just an hour I had enough squares finished to make two twin sized quilts.

Beautiful projects, great tutorial. The past few years I've been working on EPP projects, with batiks, when I travel. But I've decided to start working on Orange Peel designs, while traveling. I think your 5" bundle strips would make perfect Orange Peel quilts, if I'm so lucky to win in your giveaway. But I'm sure whomever wins will enjoy creating with them.
