Another SQangle Give Away

At my quilt guild meeting today I bumped in to Sue, the owner of Suzie Q Quilts and creator of SQangles. She has a new Youtube video demonstrating SQangles so check it out. And….She VERY generously gave me some more SQangles to share with all of you!! AWESOME right!!

If you would like to try a random size sheet of SQangles simply leave a comment on this post then click the Rafflecopter to be entered in the drawing.

NEW NOTE: I haven’t tried this yet but was told if you lightly spray your SQangle sheet with Spray and Fix 202 it holds it in place nicely on your fabric without pins.

Don’t know what a SQangle is????
Here is a repost of my demo. You will be AMAZED!
These are heat transfer template sheets. They come in finished blocks sizes from 1/2” to 4” and the sheets are reusable for several pressings.

Simply pin the SQ Angle template on the back of the lighter fabric and press with a dry iron.

The design will transfer to the fabric.
IMG_5135_thumb2
Pin the two fabrics together and sew along the dotted lines (I used dark thread so you could see it).
IMG_5143_thumb2
Now for the amazing part….Simply cut on the horizontal lines.
IMG_5144_thumb6
Cut on the vertical lines.
IMG_5145_thumb8
Cut on the diagonal lines.
IMG_5146_thumb6
In just minutes…yes, MINUTES…I had a lovely stack of half square triangles.
IMG_5151_thumb6
Very little waste.
IMG_5147_thumb6
They turned out more accurate than I would have sewn them and I didn’t have to waste any time “squaring up” the blocks.
For all the skeptics out there, here is the accuracy shot of a 2 3/4” block. AMAZING!!
